Eddie Howe blown away by the ‘physical presence’ & fitness stats of one NUFC player – Report

It looks like Joelinton is continuing to impress the new coaching team at Newcastle United.

The Chronicle have revealed that Eddie Howe has been ‘taken aback’ by the Brazilian’s fitness stats and ‘physical presence’ after watching all the training footage back from his hotel room on Tyneside.

This comes after the 24-year-old shone in our 3-3 draw with Brentford last weekend, a game that saw him not only get on the scoresheet but deliver an outstanding all round display.

Assistant Jason Tindall has also talked up the former Hoffenheim forward once again in this morning’s press conference, feeling there is a ‘lot more to come’ from the big man.

He’s revealed that his ability was clear to see from the moment they arrived, feeling the big challenge now is for the ‘huge talent’ to show consistency.

Here’s what he had to say about our £40m man:

“Ever since we’ve set foot on the training ground, the ability, the talent of Joelinton was there for us to see straight away.

“We believe there’s a lot more to come from Joelinton and we believe he will only get better.”

“He’s a huge talent and is going to be a big player for this football club in the short-term and the long-term.”

“Hopefully now he can go and deliver consistent performances, like he did against Brentford.”
