NUFC injury update – One ruled out, one late fitness test & key player to return vs Arsenal?

Standing in for Eddie Howe at this morning’s press conference, Jason Tindall has issued an update on the injury front ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Arsenal.

Dwight Gayle is the latest player struggling with an injury, with the striker set to be assessed today after ‘feeling his hamstring’ this week.

Aside from Paul Dummett – who is closing in on a return from a long-term calf issue – there’s no other injuries, however it would be a real surprise if Gayle was risked tomorrow given he’ll be needed next week if Callum Wilson picks up his fifth booking of the season in either of our next to games.

Elsewhere, Martin Dubravka was a prominent figure in the latest training video released by the club, with Karl Darlow appearing to miss parts of the session after his partner just gave birth to his first child this week.

With that and his display against Brentford in mind, it seems likely that he is replaced by the fit-again Slovakian at Arsenal.

Here’s what Tindall’s had to say on the injury front today:

“Dwight Gayle was feeling his hamstring slightly so that’s one that will be assessed today.

“Other than that there’s been no new injury concerns for us with a training session still to do today.”
