Following our 2-0 defeat at Arsenal over the weekend, Newcastle United take on Norwich City tonight in a relegation six-pointer at St James’ Park.
The team news has arrived ahead of the 7.30pm kick off being shown on Amazon Prime:
STARTING 11: Dubravka – Manquillo, Schar, Clark, Lewis – Fraser, Shelvey, Willock, Saint-Maximin – Joelinton – Wilson (c).
SUBS: Darlow, Hayden, Hendrick, Krafth, Fernandez, Murphy, Almiron, Gayle, S Longstaff.
So, Ciaran Clark and Jamal Lewis come into the side, replacing Jamaal Lascelles and Matt Ritchie – who are both out through suspension after picking up their fifth yellows of the season at The Emirates.
Javier Manquillo has also replaced Emil Krafth in what appears to be a four-man defence, while Federico Fernandez is back in the squad but not in the starting 11.
Paul Dummett remains out with a calf injury, with Elliot Anderson also missing after picking up a knock for the U23s last week.
So, a big night for Lewis against his former club, the return of four at the back and Callum Wilson given the captains armband in Lascelles’ absence.
Here’s how Dean Smith’s Norwich line up:
Ciaran Clark does it again, what a W****R and the coaches who continue to select him are just as bad!
He has no pace and no positional sense!
Are they F*****G BLIND!
