Updated Premier League relegation odds after Newcastle 1-1 Norwich & late Leeds win

If the bookies latest odds are anything to go by, Newcastle are in a four-club battle to stay up following yesterday’s frustrating 1-1 draw at St James’ Park.

Sky Bet currently place Norwich (2/9) as the favourites for the drop, followed by Newcastle (8/15) and Watford (10/11), with Burnley deemed the fourth most likely to go down at odds of 1/1.

Elsewhere, Leeds‘ late win over Crystal Palace last night has them up at 5/1, while Brentford and Southampton come next at 13/2, meaning there’s currently a considerable gap (in the bookies’ eyes) between these clubs and the bottom four.

These odds could change again in the coming days if the likes of Watford (at home to Chelsea tonight), Burnley (away at Wolves tonight), Brentford (away to Spurs tomorrow) or Southampton (at home to Leicester tonight) pick up surprise results.

So, we’ll have to hope results go our way over the next 48 hours and that’s followed with a big win over Burnley on Saturday.

Here’s the latest relegation odds (via Sky Bet), followed by the bottom half of the Premier League table as of Wednesday afternoon:

  • Norwich – 2/9
  • Newcastle – 8/15
  • Watford – 10/11
  • Burnley – 1/1
  • Leeds – 5/1
  • Brentford – 13/2
  • Southampton – 13/2
  • Crystal Palace – 10/1
