Newcastle linked with January move for exciting Premier League wing-back

Yet another name has been linked with a potential January move to Newcastle United.

According to Jeunes Footeux, the club have been showing interest in signing Rayan Aït Nouri – the French U21 talent currently at Wolves.

The report states that ourselves and Crystal Palace will ‘battle it out’ for his signature next month, having been left impressed by his recent performances at left wing-back under Bruno Lage.

Needless to say, this is another rumour that is best met with a pinch of salt.

We do need more options at left back, with Jamal Lewis the only natural in that position currently at the club, however it’s hard to see Wolves selling based on his recent rise to form.

After managing just six minutes of Premier League action over the first eight games of the season, he’s since started in each of their last seven matches, with his quick feet, technical ability and skill often standing out.

A talented player who plays in a position where we lack any sort of depth, but I’d file this in the ‘highly unlikely to happen’ column for now.

  1. We don’t need no stinkinpinch of salt quotes, at this time when every one’s a judge of footballs best and who in their opinion looks like the perfect choice and a perfect fit for the toon, as Nickson appears t be doing a decent job making those decisions.that is because he is (hopefully)conducting his business with the full approval of our Howe.
