Forget Joelinton, these four players could also become ‘like new signings’ under Eddie Howe

It must be said that we’ve had a mini-revolution with Joelinton under Eddie Howe.

From what was first seen as complete disaster of transfer, we now seem to have a tidy player on our hands who is playing in a position suited to his ability.

The question now must be, who else could Eddie Howe have a positive impact on going forward? For so long we’ve accepted below mediocrity because Steve Bruce would excuse his own shortfalls by blaming the players but now we have a situation where players will be encouraged and coached in how to improve and do well.

Who else is going to kick on under Howe? Here are four players I hope will:

Ryan Fraser

The Scot has already started to actually look like someone who will have an impact on this team. Under Bruce, he was a pointless entity who had clearly downed tools and was only ever played in bizarre positions.

Howe has the benefit of knowing Fraser really well from their Bournemouth days and with Fraser being in the prime of his playing career, hopefully Howe will know exactly what to do to make sure he has a significant impact on us.

Jamal Lewis

He is another one who hardly got a look in under Bruce but has already had two good showings with Howe.

Lewis wasted a year and a half of his career stagnating with Bruce but, with Eddie Howe, he now has the opportunity to take advantage of his youth and talent. Hopefully, Lewis will be able to get a significant number of games under his belt now and kick on. After all, there was a reason Liverpool were originally interested in him.

Miguel Almiron

Miggy has had a torrid time in the Bruce regime. When he first appeared on the scene with Rafa, Almiron forged a dangerous relationship with Perez and Rondon but since then his impact has been nullified with constant cases of playing him out of position.

With his work rate and effort, Almiron could be a nifty player for us under Howe and hopefully will bring back that dangerous element of his play again.

Elliot Anderson

Bringing through the youth needs to be implemented more again. We had a hint of it with Sean Longstaff under Rafa and Matty Longstaff made some cameo appearances with Bruce but it has all been too few and far between.

Anderson has billed as a future star and we know that Howe has it within his management skills to bring through talented youth players. Hopefully if Anderson is going to be the player we wish him to be, Howe will be the man to help him make his impact.

Who do you think Howe will improve?
