Jamie Carragher has hailed “outstanding” Joelinton and called his performance against Man Utd worthy of ANY midfielder in the Premier League.
The Brazilian continued his improved form since Eddie Howe’s appointment by earning the Man of the Match award for his energetic and workmanlike display in the middle of the park.
Teammate Sean Longstaff went on a passionate rant while standing alongside Joelinton in his post-match interview, calling him the best player in training each day at the club.
Now, Sky Sports pundit Carragher has become the latest to take note of Joelinton’s recent purple patch.
This is what he said in the Monday Night Football studio following the game:
“He was brilliant.
“That was an outstanding midfield performance by any standard. And I mean that by any midfield player you can think of in the PL this season.
“He was fantastic.
“He was everything.
“He’s taken a lot of criticism but he was best player on the pitch.”
