Kieran Trippier spotted waving goodbye to Atletico Madrid fans? - Watch telling video here

Kieran Trippier may have just dropped the biggest hint yet that he's on his way to Newcastle United.

Despite being tipped to seal a move to St James' Park next week, the 31-year-old was named in the starting line up for Atletico Madrid's 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday night.

He played the full 90, but was spotted waving goodbye to home fans at the end of the game, being the last player to leave the field as he paid tribute to all four corners of the Metropolitano Stadium.

Here's a few videos posted by Atleti fans at the game today, with many believing it was his 'last dance' for the La Liga side:

We submitted a formal bid for the right-back just yesterday, but it's not yet known if that offer will be accepted by the Spanish giants.

Interestingly, Diego Simeone had this to say on Saturday, stating that the final decision rests with the player himself:

“Trippier now has to decide if he wants to leave or not.

"We will move on his decision”.

Let's hope the footage above is a clear sign he's just played his last game for Atleti and will be on his way to Tyneside soon!
