Striker rejects NUFC offer & Eddie Howe interested in signing Man Utd stopper – Reports

According to Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino captain Andrea Belotti has turned down a move to Newcastle United.

The striker is out of contract at the end of the season and has been tipped to leave the Serie A side this month, with Toronto FC linked with an ambitious move to sign both him and Italy teammate Lorenzo Insigne.

We’re believed to be long-term admirers of the 28-year-old, with The Chronicle revealing over the summer that the club had scouts watching him at EURO 2020.

Now, Di Marzio claims that January offers have arrived from both Newcastle and Saudi side AL-Hilal, however it appears as though the player has rejected both proposals.

Elsewhere, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook reported after Man Utd’s FA Cup win over Aston Villa last night that Dean Henderson is on Eddie Howe’s radar at Newcastle United.

The Red Devils stopper is said to be very unhappy at his lack of game time at Old Trafford, with Newcastle interested in signing the England international – potentially on loan – should he be allowed to leave this month.

  1. He’s a Toon fan, brought up in Cumbria, so yes I can see him at the Toon although Manure want to keep him.
If he forces the issue he can leave.
