Newcastle willing to meet Bayern Munich defender’s demands ‘immediately’ – Report

Newcastle would be willing to pay Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule his desired €10million wage demands, according to German outlet Sport1.

The 26-year-old defender’s contract is up at the end of the season and he has been linked with us ever since our Saudi-backed takeover was given the green light in October.

The piece claims that talks have broken down between the Bundesliga giants but are set to renew in February – with Amanda Staveley & Co ready to pounce.

We could even tempt Bayern Munich to sell Sule to us this month for a cut-price fee now as they would risk losing him for nothing in the summer.

Sule has been capped 37 times for Germany and has been a regular first-team player for the Bavarian side since his big-money move from Hoffenheim in 2017.

A centre-back is our top priority this transfer window as we look to shore up a leaky backline that has conceded a whopping 42 goals in 19 games this season.
