Alan Shearer has named Martin Dubravka, Fabian Schar and Jonjo Shelvey in his Premier League Team of the Week.
All three played key roles in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road – a huge victory which saw us move just one points from safety and up to 15 for the season.
Dubravka made an outstanding first half save to deny Daniel James, was quick off his line throughout and came out to take a few high balls hoisted into the NUFC box late on.
Shelvey put in a disciplined display and scored the all important winner, while Schar was most fan’s man of the match in what was an outstanding all round performance from the Swiss international.
He was always in the right place at the right time, looked calm on the ball and made a few vital interventions, blocking one goal-bound effort from Jack Harrison in the second half.
