Despite recent links with Burnley, Sky Sports have revealed this morning that Andy Carroll is currently undergoing a medical at West Brom ahead of a surprise move to The Hawthorns.
This will be the 33-year-old’s second club since he was released by Newcastle United just six months ago, with him signing a two-month deal with Reading back in November.
He scored two goals in six starts for the Royals, but is now set to join the Baggies on a short-term deal until the end of the season following his release.
West Brom are in need of cover up top, as new signing Daryl Dike is set for at least two months on the sidelines after suffering a new muscle injury.
Valerien Ismael side currently sit 5th in the Championship and are just seven points behind the automatic promotions slots, currently occupied by Blackburn and league leaders Fulham.
We wish big Andy all the best at West Brom, hoping he’ll stay fit and get back amongst the goals!
