“I’m told there is a strong chance” – NUFC set to sign Man Utd outcast (not Lingard) on loan?

Some big claims have emerged from The Mail’s Craig Hope in the last few moments, with him reporting that Dean Henderson could be set for a late move to Newcastle United.

The North-East reporter has been told there is now a “strong chance” the 24-year-old stopper will complete a loan move to St James’ Park before tomorrow’s 11pm deadline after talks.

This would add a new option to our goalkeeping department, however it would end any chance of Jesse Lingard arriving on loan, as Premier League rules state that you can’t secure two loans from the same Premier League club.

This comes after the Manchester Evening News confirmed this morning that the England international was a target of Eddie Howe’s after asking to leave Old Trafford for some much needed game time.

David De Gea’s superb form between the sticks has seen Henderson be reduced to just four appearances all season, with him an unused sub in each of Man Utd’s last 10 league games.
