NUFC release brilliant video of Bruno Guimaraes’ first day as £40m man meets Howe & players

Bruno Guimaraes is finally on Tyneside and ready to go following his £40m move to Newcastle United last week.

After remaining in South America to represent Brazil in their recent World Cup Qualifier against Paraguay earlier this week, the 24-year-old was spotted boarding a plane destined for Newcastle airport yesterday morning.

Since then, the club have released a brilliant video showing the midfielder touching down on Tyneside, arriving at St James’ Park for the first time, meeting his new teammates (and Eddie Howe) for the first time, posing for pictures and going out onto the pitch with the squad.

Watch the three and a half minute clip we’ve all been waiting for below:

It looks like he may already know Allan Saint-Maximin – two players who’ve previously played in Ligue 1 – and it’s great to see he and fellow Brazilian Joelinton give each other a big hug in the dressing room.

Hopefully all three are linking up well when Frank Lampard’s Everton come to town on Tuesday, with our clash with the Toffees another huge chance to get all three points after our big win at Leeds last month.

Here’s what Guimaraes tweeted out following his arrival at the club:
