Confirmed NUFC team vs Everton – Three January signings start, but Bruno on the bench

Following a 1-0 win at Leeds last month, we return to St James’ Park tonight to face Frank Lampard’s Everton – knowing a victory would leave us just one point behind the Toffees.

The team news has arrived ahead of the 7.45pm kick off, seeing us line up as follows:

STARTING 11: Dubravka – Trippier, Lascelles, Schar, Targett – Shelvey, Willock, Joelinton – Fraser, Wood, Saint-Maximin.

SUBS: Darlow, Burn, Krafth, Manquillo, Longstaff, Guimaraes, Murphy, Almiron, Gayle

So, Eddie Howe has made one change from our win at Elland Road, replacing the injured Paul Dummett with Aston Villa loanee Matt Targett.

New signing Bruno Guimaraes is on the bench alongside Dan Burn, seeing the likes of Jamaal Lascelles and Joe Willock keep their places in the side.

Callum Wilson misses out along with Matt Ritchie, Federico Fernandez and Paul Dummett, with the likes of Ciaran Clark, Isaac Hayden and Jamal Lewis also absent after being left out of Howe’s 25-man squad.

Here’s how Lampard’s Everton will line up for tonight’s game, with Calvert-Lewin only fir enough for the bench:

Everton XI: Pickford – Coleman, Holgate, Mina, Keane, Townsend – Gomes, Allan – Gray, Gordon – Richarlison.
