Newcastle plotting yet another raid of Brighton after moves for Burn and Ashworth – Report

If Brighton weren’t sick of us already, it seems they will be soon!

After bringing in Dan Burn last month and expecting Dan Ashworth to become our new Director of Football imminently following his resignation at The Amex, it’s now emerged that we’re looking to bring in yet another Brighton man.

The Mail report that we are now looking to lure academy manager John Morling to St James’ Park, being impressed by the work he’s done on the South Coast.

They claim that the highly-rated coach has been identified as a potential candidate for a key role within our academy setup – which looks set to be transformed under our ambitious new owners.

Morling has been at Brighton since 2012, playing a key part in their growth and ability to transform U23 talents into first-team players, with him developing the likes of Ben White, Robert Sanchez, Steven Alzate, Jeremy Sarmiento, Aaron Connolly, Solly March and Jayson Molumby.
