In an Instagram Q&A, Kieran Trippier was asked a number of questions from Newcastle United fans regarding life at the club, his fellow Toon teammates and how his recovery from a broken foot is going.
When asked which player had surprised him the most in training, he responded with a photo of Joelinton, saying ‘this guy!’
The Brazilian has recently had a resurgence at the club in his new midfield role and clearly his impact off the pitch isn’t going unnoticed either!
Trippier also updated fans on how his recovery from injury was going with a simple “Really well thanks!”
Recent reports suggest he could be side-lined for the rest of the season, however the latest update from The Athletic’s Chris Waugh suggests it’ll be another ‘8-10 weeks’ until we see him again.
Despite the injury, the defender still plans to travel with the team to Brentford this Saturday, hoping to still have an impact from the touchline.
Trippier was then asked for his thoughts on Sunderland, responding with a very simple one-word answer – “Who?” – evidently embracing the Newcastle lifestyle already!
