Newcastle in talks to beat Man Utd, West Ham and Crystal Palace to summer bargain – Report

According to an exclusive from The Sun’s Alan Nixon, Newcastle have held talks over a bargain move for Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara whose contract is set to expire this summer.

The French midfielder is only 22-years-old and has already made 146 first team appearances for the Ligue One side – with 21 of them coming in the Europa League and Champions League.

Kamara has also featured in all of the French national youth sides from the Under 17s to the Under 21s, representing his country 48 times.

The young Frenchman has been a target for Newcastle in previous transfer windows and will be a bargain in the summer, but his wage demands are said to be huge.

The midfielder is believed to have already held talks with Newcastle and West Ham, however there is also a lot of interest from the likes of Manchester United and Crystal Palace.

While many believe the new owners may just pile money on transfers, their shrewd moves for Kamara as well as in January for Kieran Trippier (£12m) and Dan Burn (£13m) point towards a much more detailed plan.
