Newcastle United’s unbeaten run has come to an end – but I think anyone who watched Sunday’s game at Stamford Bridge knows how unlucky we were.
One of those is co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi, who was spotted in attendance alongside Amanda Staveley and Jamie Reuben.
His post match message echoes what so many felt while watching on from Tyneside, with him revealing how “proud” he was of our “incredible performance”, feeling we left “everything” on the pitch and would’ve come away with all three points on “any other day.”
Isaac Hayden – our forgotten midfielder currently on the sidelines after being left out of Howe’s 25-man squad – also aimed a dig at VAR after the game, believing we did brilliantly considering we were up against “12 men!”.
Here’s what both had to say on Twitter, with the NUFC midfielder revealing how “proud” he is to be associated with the club following another valiant display away from home:
Well said from both.
We may have lost, but it was more proof of just how far we’ve come under Eddie Howe when it takes two refereeing howlers to end our unbeaten run!
