NUFC loanee makes it a hat-trick – Watch latest goal here as he looks to score his 4th in 4 tonight

Matty Longstaff is enjoying a brilliant run of form following his deadline day move to Mansfield.

The 21-year-old had to drop down to League Two to get some much needed game time under his belt over the second half of the 2021/22 season, but it appears to be paying dividends.

After being recalled from a disappointing spell in Scotland with Aberdeen, Matty has found form with the Stags in recent weeks, scoring in each of his last THREE games.

He found the net in wins over Bradford and Exeter to boost Nigel Clough’s play-off hopes, then added his third in as many games on Friday night away to Tranmere.

Watch his latest goal below:

Score against Port Vale tonight and Matty will have made it four goals in four games for the Stags; who are currently just a few points away from a place in the top six.

Elsewhere, Elliot Anderson is also enjoying a strong run of form away from Tyneside, with the 19-year-old attacking midfielder scoring a stunning solo goal for Bristol Rovers over the weekend.

Who knows, the Geordie duo could be meeting in the League Two play-offs if their new clubs keep winning between now and May!
