Updated relegation odds after two big wins for Leeds and Everton – No need to worry?

Sky Bet have released their odds for the teams to be relegated from the Premier League this season, and the results suggest that Newcastle, still at 33/1, shouldn’t be too worried.

Following victories for both Leeds and Everton over the past few days, there has been some panic amongst fans that we could get dragged back into this, however, our odds to be relegated remain exactly the same as they did prior to our defeat at Goodison Park.

As of December, Sky Bet had Newcastle as the second favourites to go down – at 8/15 – just in front of Norwich, but after a nine-game unbeaten run and big improvements in January, clearly they think there’s almost no danger anymore.

Here’s the latest odds as things stand:

The biggest worry Newcastle now face is Burnley. With their two games in hand, they could potentially go four points behind us and our final game of the season at Turf Moor could still be crucial.

However, judging on their current from – just one win in their last five – the Lancashire side would struggle to maximise the points available to them in those extra games.
