During our training camp in Dubai, Newcastle’s media team mic’d up Sean Longstaff for the day to not only produce a brilliant piece of content but highlight just how well the players have been getting on during the warm-weather break!
In the video, players are seen laughing, making jokes and looking like a team that has known each other for years – a real welcome sight given the atmosphere under the previous regime.
It’s great to get an insight into how well the team have been bonding on these warm weather training camps and to learn more about the adjustments that have been made by Eddie Howe behind the scenes.

Since his arrival, Howe has completely turned things around on and off the pitch, with this clip highlighting what a brilliant working environment he’s created around the place.
Under Bruce, there was a toxic environment that surrounded the club – players were getting into fights, some were frustrated with the training methods, and there were players reportedly leaking information to the media.
Now, we’re beginning to revive that connection to the players, and clearly Howe has got everyone pulling in the same direction – even players who are not registered in the squad like Isaac Hayden have been vocal in their support.
