Toon preparing part-exchange bid as Howe plots to re-sign former player from Spain – Report

As reported by The Mirror, Newcastle are prepared to offer a part-exchange involving Miguel Almiron in a bid to sign Villarreal star Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

The winger was signed by Eddie Howe for Bournemouth back in 2019 and excelled for the Cherries in the Championship, earning him a £21 million move to the Europa League champions.

The 25-year-old has 13 goals and four assists in 28 appearances this season and has helped the Yellow Submarine into the Champions League quarter-final after he scored in their 3-0 victory over Juventus.

A move for the Netherlands international could be a big statement of intent and the inclusion of Almiron in the deal would be ideal for all parties if the Paraguayan can excel in a less physical league.

Almiron has been heavily linked with a move away in the summer, with the 28-year-old struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League after three years on Tyneside.

While no one can fault his effort and commitment to the team, very few fans would turn their nose up if he was used as bait in a bid to sign Danjuma this summer – although I doubt Unai Emery would be so keen…
