Updated relegation odds & Premier League table after Burnley’s 3-2 win over Everton last night

Burnley’s big win over Everton last night is another reminder that we’re not out of danger just yet – even if there is still a healthy gap between NUFC and the relegation zone.

The Clarets went into the break 2-1 down after two penalties from Richarlison, yet they came away 3-2 winners after second half strikes from Rodriguez and Cornet piled more misery on Frank Lampard’s side.

Burnley’s win means they are now up to 18th and just one point behind Everton, leaving us SEVEN points above the drop zone having played a game more than both.

Here’s how Sky Bet see the relegation battle as of Thursday, followed by an updated Premier League table:

  1. Norwich – 1/100
  2. Watford – 1/6
  3. Everton – 1/1
  4. Burnley – 1/1
  5. Leeds – 10/3
  6. Newcastle – 14/1
  7. Brentford – 28/1

So, the bookies still back us to stay up, but last night’s result just makes tomorrow’s clash with Wolves at St James’ Park that bit more important for NUFC.

Hopefully that late defeat at Goodison Park doesn’t come back to bite us and the players put in a big response following that embarrassing display at Spurs last weekend!
