2 changes as Howe hands Bruno first start at SJP – Confirmed Newcastle team to face Wolves

Following our 5-1 defeat at Tottenham last Sunday, we take on Wolves tonight in our first game at St James’ Park in over a month.

The teams are in ahead of the 8pm kick off being shown live on Sky Sports, seeing us line up as follows:

STARTING 11: Dubravka – Krafth, Schar, Burn, Targett – Guimaraes, Shelvey (c), Joelinton – Fraser, Wood, Saint-Maximin.

SUBS: Darlow, Dummett, Lascelles, Manquillo, Ritchie, Longstaff, Murphy, Almiron, Gayle.

So, Eddie Howe has made TWO changes from the side that lost heavily last weekend, seeing Bruno Guimaraes and Emil Krafth replace Joe Willock and Javier Manquillo.

Bruno comes in for his first start at St James’ Park since sealing a £35m move from Lyon in January, Miguel Almiron is back on the bench and Willock misses out entirely with a ‘slight knee problem.’

Elsewhere, Kieran Trippier (foot), Callum Wilson (calf) remain out, alongside Federico Fernandez – who has returned to training but is still not 100% fit.

Here’s the side Bruno Lage has gone with, seeing Raul Jimenez (suspended), Ruben Neves (injury), Leander Dendoncker and Daniel Podence miss out, Nelson Semedo return to the squad and youngster Luke Cundle come in for a rare start:
