Newcastle midfielder set for summer exit after joining Championship side on trial – Report

Newcastle midfielder Mo Sangare has landed a trial at Championship side Blackpool, according to LancsLive.

The 23-year-old signed for us back in 2016 after being scouted by Steve Nickson and quickly progressed up to our Under-23 setup, however it looks like he’ll be released when his contract expires this summer.

While the 6ft 3 man has trained with Newcastle’s first team on multiple occasions, he was unable to break into the matchday squad and is expected to leave the club after returning from an unsuccessful loan at Accrington Stanley.

The Liberian international has already made an appearance for the Seasiders in a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Lancashire Senior Cup earlier this week.

LancsLive report that Blackpool manager Neil Critchley is looking to improve their central midfield, with Sangare now an option they are exploring after the club had offers rejected for a host of targets in January.
