Confirmed NUFC team vs Leicester – Howe makes one change, 2 back in the squad & Perez starts

Following our 1-0 win over Wolves last Friday, we take on Leicester City in the second of three straight home games at St James’ Park.

The teams are in ahead of the 2.15pm kick off being shown live on Sky Sports, seeing us line up as follows:

STARTING 11: Dubravka – Krafth, Schar, Burn, Targett – Guimaraes, Shelvey (c), Joelinton – Almiron, Wood, Saint-Maximin.

SUBS: Darlow, Dummett, Lascelles, Fernández, Ritchie, S Longstaff, Willock, Murphy, Gayle.

So, Eddie Howe has made just one change, as Miguel Almiron has replaced the injured Ryan Fraser; who isn’t fit enough to make the squad due to a hamstring problem.

Almiron comes in for his first start at St James’ Park since mid December, having come on in the 10th minute of last week’s win over Wolves.

Elsewhere, Kieran Trippier (foot), Callum Wilson (calf) remain out, however Joe WIllock and Federico Fernandez are back in the squad after recovering from knocks.

Here’s the side Brendan Rodgers has gone with, seeing Ayoze Perez start and several key players rested following their big win at PSV on Thursday night:
