NUFC official set to attend tonight’s semi-final to watch Roma star in action vs Leicester – Report

It looks like a Newcastle United scout will be in attendance at tonight’s Europa Conference League semi-final between Leicester City and AS Roma.

According to the latest Rome edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, a club official will be in the stands to take a closer look at Italian attacker Nicolo Zaniolo.

The highly-rated 22-year-old scored a hat-trick in the quarter final stages, bagging three times as Jose Mourinho’s men blitzed FK Bodø/Glimt 4-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

He has an impressive four goals and three assists in seven Europa Conference League appearances, but his biggest test of the tournament looks set to arrive tonight as Roma face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the first of two games that could send them to the final.

Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that we are one of several Premier League sides tracking the 6ft 2′ forward ahead of this summer’s transfer window, stating that the ‘very rich‘ Newcastle will be ‘attentive spectators’ ahead of tonight’s 8pm kick off on BT Sport.

One to watch later on this evening if you’re tuning in to watch! Here’s him scoring a hat-trick in their 4-0 win in the last round:
