Prior to the impressive victory on Monday night, co-owners Mehrdad Ghodoussi and Jamie Reuben both visited NUFC Fans Foodbank to greet and thank volunteers for their work, as well as taking photos with everyone.
Since their arrival in October, the new regime have been very supportive of the charity with the Reuben foundation matching every home donation raising over £100,000.
The money will then be given to the West End Foodbank and distributed all over the city, helping those most vulnerable during desperate times, especially nowadays.
Soon after their arrival, fans walking to the ground soon started to crowd around the stall near Strawberry corner, hoping to get a glimpse of and thank the pair.
This is not the first time the foodbank has received a special visitor, and no doubt it will not be the last – the generosity shown by everyone involved in the takeover means more than just football, they are helping an entire city.
