Not many people can say they have had their son’s name belted out at St James’ Park, and even fewer who have only been in the starting line-up 10 times for the club.
The impact Bruno Guimaraes has had on this team has been better than anyone could have expected – we knew we were getting a good player, but he has quickly excelled to being one of the most in-form players in the league.
Our blonde-haired Brazilian is like nothing else we have seen on Tyneside for the best part of two decades – a tremendously talented footballer who encapsulates the passion from the entire fanbase and expresses it on the pitch.
If we can keep a hold of him and build around the central midfielder, we could be in for a very exciting future if his recent performances are anything to go off.
