Newcastle set to rival Tottenham for Leeds United hero – Report

According to the Daily Mail, both Newcastle and Tottenham are monitoring the situation of Leeds winger Jack Harrison who is open to a move away from the club.

The 25-year-old scored the winning goal in their victory over Brentford to secure their Premier League status next year, sparking thrilling celebrations from the Leeds end.

After spending three season on loan at the Whites from Man City, the Englishman signed permanently last summer for around £11million, but is already prepared for a new challenge.

Despite winning at Turf Moor and finishing 11th, Newcastle have somewhat shot themselves in the foot as Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, two of our transfer targets, will now not have their £30m release clauses triggered.

Harrison will also be worth considerably more money as there is now no urgent need for the Yorkshire-based club to sell.

However, the financial power that Newcastle now hold could be enough to attract a number of players in the coming months, even without European football, and Harrison could be one of them

  1. More speculation and conjecture from an unreliable source about a player who is with a club on a par with NUFC. The odds of probability that such a move would be attractive to Jack Harrison is a very long shot like the one against Brentford.
