Newcastle linked with shock £50m bid and Leeds United star lined up by Eddie Howe

As reported by Online Gooner, Newcastle are interested in a surprise move for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney who is valued at around £50million, while the Telegraph have reported that we are looking at Leeds winger Jack Harrison.

The former Man City man was a hero for Leeds on the final day of the season after he secured the Whites’ Premier League safety by scoring the winner in their 2-1 victory over Brentford.

It is expected that a deal would now be much more difficult to pull off due to their top-flight status, but Newcastle remain intent on prying him aware from the Yorkshire-based club.

Tierney would also prove difficult to sign, not only because of the big asking fee, but as he is supposedly happy with manager Mikel Arteta’s project at the Emirates.

The Scotsman has been injury prone since his arrival at Arsenal, making just 22 league appearances this season, and many fans may prefer the more dependable option in Matt Targett who started every game for us during his loan spell.

  2. Why not sign Targett. Cheaper, more reliable fitness wise and in my opinion a better player anyway. Sign him now , get it done and move on
