According to The Athletic, Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer.
The report states that Man City are offering the Ukrainian around now his future at the Etihad appears to be ‘up in the air’, claiming that ourselves and Everton are two of the clubs who’ve been contacted.
Zinchenko, 25, has been a reliable and versatile member of Pep Guardiola’s squad over the past few years, being able to fill in at left-back, right-back and occasionally operating in midfield, too.
However, it seems both he and his club recognise he needs regular game time at this stage of his career, meaning a summer move is likely.
If Eddie Howe is eager to sign more of a marauding left-back then a move for the former PSV talent seems unlikely, yet he is proven at this level, at the perfect age, has plenty of big game experience and can operate at a high level in several positions.
