VIDEO – Watch Fabian Schar’s howler and Bruno’s assist for Brazil as NUFC duo endure mixed night

It was a mixed day yesterday for Newcastle United duo Fabian Schar and Bruno Guimaraes.

Both have been away on international duty while some in the NUFC squad enjoy the start of their summer holidays, yet it looked like Schar was on the beach if his error last night was anything to go by!

Playing in Switzerland’s UEFA Nations League clash with Czech Republic, the Toon centre-back completely misjudged the flight and threat of a long throw in that was tapped in at the back post by Jan Kutcha.

Over in Seoul, Bruno Guimaraes had to settle for a place on the bench in Brazil’s 5-1 win over Heung-Min Son’s South Korea, yet he came on to make an impact yet AGAIN from the bench.

After replacing best friend Lucas Paqueta in the 81st minute, his raking pass out wide bagged the assist for Brazil’s fifth goal, meaning he now has an incredible one goal and four assists in his last 124 minutes for his country.

You can watch clips of both in action below, starting with Schar’s howler in Prague:
