Plans to significantly improve the standard of Newcastle United’s training ground at Darsley Park were released last month – and it looks like the eagerly anticipated renovation is now underway!
An image has emerged on Twitter from the club’s Benton base earlier today, showing an excavator getting to work in front of the club’s Benton base.
This suggests the new owners’ proposal has been accepted by the council, meaning changes to the training ground facility could be in place in time for the upcoming 2022/23 season.
It seems unlikely that everything is completed by the time players return for the start of pre-season training on July 2nd, with the in-depth proposal featuring plans for Hydrotherapy and plunge pools, extended dining areas, new medical rooms, upgrades to presentation and changing rooms, a players’ room and improved offices for coaches.
