Hugo Ekitike move hijacked? Player considering options as another club enters talks – RMC Sport

According to fresh claims from France, Hugo Ekitike is stalling on his proposed summer move to Newcastle United.

This comes from RMC Sport, who report that PSG have now shown late interest in the 19-year-old following Luis Campos’ arrival as their new Football Advisor.

It’s claimed that the French giants have recently initiated talks over a potential deal, leaving Ekitike interested to know who will replace Mauricio Pochettino at PSG before he makes a final decision on a proposed move to Newcastle.

RMC Sport insist that we have agreed a fee with Reims and even have agreement in place with the player himself over the terms of his contract, however it’s now said he’s “slowing down” a move to St James’ Park to assess his options.

The report states that there’s also been interest from Germany, with this coming a few days after claims his agent was holding out for a move to Borussia Dortmund.

You can’t blame him for taking a long, hard look at his options before making his first big step in football – he’s only 19 – but there comes a point where you have to wonder just how keen he is to complete a move to Newcastle United if it’s taking this long to get a deal done…

As a result, RMC state that we have started looking at potential alternatives just incase Ekitike has had his head turned and ends up signing elsewhere.

  1. We don’t want Ekitike or Botman as they are not committed to the project being sold to them.

  3. Should not be bothering with him or Botman, they are both playing us, also would love comments that are true in the web feeds, what we are reading is s load of – – – – a lot of Going to this going to sign him, let’s get the facts correct and stop dreaming

  4. Let’s move on, they have both wasted enough of our time, this is starting to look embarrassing as if no one wants to come here, mainly due to agents and other unfriendly journalists who like nothing better to give us grief. Plenty others to go for, their loss. HWTL

  5. It’s fairly obvious that we have no interest in either Ekitike or Botman.
Newcastle have managed moved on, but the press are refusing to.

  6. What is Ashworth doing. Cannot understand what he us up to. Both Botman and Ekitike should be left to go elsewhere. Ashworth needs to go back to Brighton.

  7. Forget any player who is not committed to the club, in wasting time on these two, we are missing out on other potential signings, a striker is our main priority.

  8. Well if the boy wants to warm PSGs bench for the next 3 years on you go big boy but what ever you do don’t complain and say later on I wish I had moved to them or them instead of PSG
