Newcastle eyeing former Man City talent as club turn attention to two attackers – The Telegraph

According to The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards, Newcastle will turn their attention to the signing of a right winger and striker once Sven Botman’s arrival is confirmed.

He claims that Leeds winger Jack Harrison is a player of interest, also reporting that a forward to compete with Callum Wilson and Chris Wood is being targeted, with alternatives to Hugo Ekitike under consideration now the Frenchman’s move to Tyneside is ‘dead.’

Harrison joined The Whites from Man City just last summer after spending three seasons on loan at Elland Road, completing permanent move worth around £11million.

The 25-year-old bagged eight goals and eight assists in their first season back in the Premier League, then scored 10 goals in all competitions last term – a decent return considering how much Leeds struggled over 2021/22.

My main concern here would be that he is largely a left-winger – a position that has been held down by Allan Saint-Maximin for three years – yet it is the right-flank that desperately needs attention.

Are you really telling us that Newcastle United cannot process/negotiate more than one player at a time?
