Revealed: The fee Newcastle United look set to bank after striking new sponsorship deal

Newcastle look set to make £7.5m off the back of our new sleeve sponsorship with Noon.com, according to football finance expert Kieran Maguire.

Noon is one of the biggest online marketplace’s in the Middle East and is our first venture into Saudi-backed sponsorships under the new regime, with them being part-owned (50%) by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Elsewhere, Maguire claims that Manchester United currently earn £20m from Kohler, with Liverpool’s sleeve deal with Expedia banking them £10m. It’s thought most clubs outside the ‘big six’ only receive around £1m per season from sleeve sponsors.

Hopefully this is the first of many lucrative sponsorships that will soon allow us to expand our transfer budget, without breaking any FFP regulations.

The best possible outcome would be to transition into periods of big spending – similar to how Man City operate – whilst also maintaining our identity.

It’s certainly an impressive start and suggests that we can expect big things in the future if those at the top can continue to steer us in the right direction.
