TalkSPORT host Simon Jordan has praised Newcastle’s new owners for their “sensible” approach to the transfer window, believing we’re learning from the early mistakes made by Man City and PSG.
The radio host also hit back at the media outlets claiming we could pursue Neymar, saying “nobody sensible said that they were going to sign Mbappe or Neymar.”
Jordan referred to our transfer policy as “reasonable” and “controlled”, insisting we are looking for “sensible growth” – something many in the media have failed to grasp after seeing us sign the likes of Dan Burn, Matt Targett and Nick Pope.
He believes we will still spend big money, feeling we’ll compete on wages, invest on a consistent basis and show serious ambition, but has hit the nail on the head when it comes to the pragmatic, long-term approach our new owners appear to have adopted.
