Newcastle quoted hefty asking price for another attacking target – Report

According to the Northern Echo, our struggle for attacking options continues as Leeds are demanding £35million for Jack Harrison following the departure of Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips.

After failing to secure any of Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak or Moussa Diaby in a bid to improve our front line, it’s believed our attention has turned to the 25-year-old.

However, things aren’t much simpler with the former Man City man. Just a few days ago, The Mail reported that we were considering a £20m bid for the winger – yet it seems the Whites want almost double that!

Harrison spent three years on loan at Elland Road before joining permanently last season. He’s been impressive over his two years in the Premier League, bagging 18 goals and 10 assists, however £35m feels steep.

Howe is said to be a ‘strong admirer’ of the Stoke-born attacker and would be very keen on making this deal happen despite the big fee, with many other attacking options also on our radar.
