Newcastle add 6ft 4′ striker to list of targets as Eddie Howe eyes European gems – Report

The Mail’s Craig Hope has confirmed that Newcastle ARE showing interest in RB Salzburg star Benjamin Sesko.

Just yesterday, the player’s agent released an intriguing photo on his Instagram account, showing him out for dinner in Newcastle a few hours after arriving in the UK.

This got fans talking on social media and led many to believe he was on Tyneside to hold talks over a potential move for Sesko.

Hope insists that the 19-year-old is one of many names under consideration at present and someone we ‘admire’ – adding fuel to the fire following his agent’s appearance on Wednesday.

Interestingly, The Mail also state that ‘younger players from the continent’ are ‘featuring heavily’ in recruitment discussions, suggesting European gems are still being explored after moves for Moussa Diaby and Alexander Isak proved too expensive.

Sesko stands 6ft 4′ and is known to be extremely mobile for a striker of his size, with that blend of pace and presence helping him back 11 goals and seven assists for the Austrian giants over the past season.

It seems we aren’t the only club keen, however, as Hope reveals that Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are all keen on the Slovenian sensation.
