Newcastle turn to Wolves star, Arsenal flop & relegated trio in search for new attackers – Report

In his latest piece for 90min, Graeme Bailey has revealed FIVE names under consideration at Newcastle United as Eddie Howe continues his search for a new winger.

He reports that Wolves’ Adama Traore, Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe, Burnley duo Dwight McNeil and Maxwel Cornet along with Watford’s Ismaila Sarr are all being looked at.

With Moussa Diaby vowing to remain at Bayer Leverkusen this summer and Leeds valuing Jack Harrison at considerably more than we’re willing to pay, it seems the club are exploring their options.

Pepe hasn’t hit the heights some expected following a £72m move from Lille, but the Ivorian has shown glimpses of talent throughout his three seasons and could still have a point to prove.

Traore would split opinion – he’s unplayable on his day but lacks end product. The Spaniard could be available for just £10m according to some reports, with the 26-year-old out of contract next summer following a loan spell at Barcelona.

McNeil is still only 22 and has shown flashes of quality in a poor Burnley side, while Cornet showed patches of explosive form – scoring nine goals in 26 appearances since arriving from Lyon.

Sarr is another one that is likely to be looking for a new home after Watford’s relegation. The 24-year-old has bundles of pace and plenty of room for development, so it’s easy to see why Howe may be considering the Senegalese star.

Would you take any of the above if moves for Diaby and Harrison aren’t possible?
