Man Utd join race to sign Toon target after Newcastle’s enquiry – Fabrizio Romano

Newcastle target Benjamin Šeško is now being monitored by Manchester United, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Romano has also confirmed that no deal between the two clubs is imminent or at an advanced stage, revealing that Newcastle also have an interest in the RB Salzburg forward. This is backed-up by Mark Douglas at iNews, who has reported that we have ‘asked about’ the highly-rated striker.

The Magpies were first linked with the Slovenian on Thursday, with Craig Hope confirming the clubs interest after the 19-year-olds agent was pictured on Tyneside – although there has been no confirmation that talks were held with Newcastle.

Šeško is a hot commodity among Europe’s elite right now, with some comparing him to Erling Haaland due to his mixture of height, mobility and composure in front of goal.

Newcastle may not only have to fight off the interest of Manchester United, as The Mail revealed last week that Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are also keen on the 6ft 4′ forward.
