Two cut-price deals now on Newcastle’s radar and 4 attackers ‘offered’ to Eddie Howe – Report

According to 90min, Newcastle are now ‘considering’ moves for Watford duo Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaila Sarr.

The report states that both look set to be available at cut-price fees following the Hornets’ relegation to the Championship, with some suggesting £20m would be enough to sign either this summer.

Dennis bagged an impressive 10 goals and six assists in a struggling Watford side last season, while Sarr has managed 24 goals and 18 assists over his past three seasons at Vicarage Road.

Both are 24-years-old and able to play anywhere across the front three. That in itself may appeal to Eddie Howe, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we are setting the bar a little higher than these two – even if Sarr does have the potential to grow into a very dangerous winger under the right manager.

Graeme Bailey also claims that we’ve been offered the chance to sign Barcelona’s Memphis Depay, Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe, Timo Werner at Chelsea and PSG’s Julian Draxler.

Our search for a new striker and right winger has proved to be a frustrating exercise over the past month, seeing us miss out on Hugo Ekitike – who is now at PSG – and be priced out of moves for Moussa Diaby and Alexander Isak.

Hopefully we hear news of an exciting breakthrough soon, with the new Premier League season set to kick off in just over a weeks time.

  1. I can’t believe how Stingy Newcastle are considering they are meant to have loads of money. The Mike Ashley trend has followed on to the new Owners.

Financial Fair Play Rules will not allow Newcastle to spend daft money.
Perhaps when we get better sponsorship deals than the one Ashley left us with the purse strings can be opened further.
