Newcastle have announced that they will broadcast our final two friendlies of the summer on NUFC TV over the coming days – although UEFA restrictions means Saturday’s game will not be available to those in the UK or Spain.
Around 90,000 people are expected at St James’ Park for the pre-season double header, with us facing Atalanta tonight and La Liga side Athletic Bilbao on Saturday afternoon.
It is a shame fans in the UK (or Spain) won’t be able to stream the Bilbao game (3pm) via NUFC TV tomorrow, but still a welcome boost that those without tickets can watch us take on Atalanta at 7.45pm tonight.
So far, almost all of our friendlies have been live-streamed on the club’s official website, and this is set to continue as we wrap up our summer preparations for the new campaign – which starts next weekend as Nottingham Forest come to town for our opening game of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
This news will be more than welcomed by supporters who are unable to attend either game and is yet another great gesture from those at the top who continue make positive decisions at the club.
Match tickets for both games are still available to buy on the club’s official website, with prices at £20 for adults and £10 concessions – although these will rise to £25 and £15 on the day of each game.
