More details have emerged on Newcastle United’s ongoing pursuit of James Maddison, with Sky Sports releasing ‘breaking news’ on the latest bid received by Leicester City.
Sky Sports News claim that we’ve now launched a bid of £50m – including add-ons – for the Foxes attacker and are pushing hard to make him our club record signing.
Keith Downie claims that Leicester made it clear that they valued the playmaker at around £60m after rejecting our initial offer of £40m last week, so it remains to be seen how they react to our latest bid.
As the video below explains, Sky Sports understand that we are now awaiting Leicester’s response to our improved offer.
The Telegraph revealed just a few hours ago that our new improved bid came in around the £45m mark, so there’s a few conflicting claims regarding the value of our second offer.
Either way, a few outlets are now reporting that the player is keen on a move to St James’ Park – but that only means so much if we can’t agree a price with the decision makers at the King Power Stadium!
