Newcastle co-owners pictured with Chelsea chief just as Toon are linked with late deal – Photo

Some intriguing pictures have emerged on Sunday afternoon, showing Newcastle United’s co-owners spotted in the stands at Stamford Bridge.

Ahead of Chelsea’s 4.30pm clash with Tottenham, photos have emerged on social media of Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi alongside Behdad Eghbali – the man who part owns the London giants alongside Todd Boehly.

Who knows the real reason behind their visit, but it’s certainly intriguing to see them in discussions with Chelsea’s co-owner just 24 hours after claims we had made Conor Gallagher our new ‘No 1 transfer target.’

He’s not the only Blues player we’ve been linked with over the past few days, either, with The Athletic revealing earlier this week that we’d been in contact with Stamford Bridge chiefs over the availability of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Armando Broja and Christian Pulisic.

Time will tell if there’s anything in this, however it does seem like we’re attempting to build a rapport with Chelsea – and potentially sign one of their fringe men on loan in the mean time?

Here’s a few clips of Staveley and Ghodoussi in the stands at Stamford Bridge ahead of kick off:
