Toon target now pulled from tonight’s game as player moves closer to loan exit – One to watch?

This morning, it was claimed that Callum Hudson-Odoi, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell, Ethan Ampadu and Trevoh Chalobah had all been called up to Chelsea’s Development Squad for tonight’s match with Fulham.

Just a few hours later, it’s now emerged that Hudson-Odoi will NOT be playing, as Evening Standard reporter Nizaar Kinsella reveals that loan interest has ‘intensified’ over the last 24 hours.

The Athletic confirmed this morning that he was one of four Chelsea players who had been discussed at Newcastle United during internal talks, with this coming after Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi were spotted at Stamford Bridge yesterday speaking to co-owner Behdad Eghbali.

A host of clubs have been linked with a loan move for the 21-year-old talent, with Southampton, Leicester and Borussia Dortmund just some of the sides who’ve been credited with an interest.

However, his removal from tonight’s match suggests things have stepped up a notch with regards to a potential move away – an interesting development given our co-owners were speaking to Chelsea chiefs less than 24 hours ago.

One to watch over the comings days in our hunt for a new right-winger?
