Sky Sports: Wolves join race to sign Newcastle United target

According to Sky Sports, Wolves have now entered the race to sign Newcastle United target and Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos in the hunt for a new goalscorer.

Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes, who already has a strong connection to Wolves, is said to have become involved in the proposed move to the Premier League.

Ramos has had a blistering start for Benfica this season, scoring four goals in as many games – three of them coming in the Champions League qualifiers while the fourth came in their league opener.

Since making his debut for the Portuguese side in 2020, the youth international has had 25 goal involvements in 63 appearances and has been scouted by many of the top clubs around Europe.

The 21-year-old emerged as a target for Newcastle in the last couple of weeks, but with multiple bids being placed for Watford’s Joao Pedro, it is unsure how heavily invested we still are in the young man.

  1. Howe will be making a big mistake to go pedro instead Ramos . A players who has score 4 goals this season. Quality is keen in the transfer market since the owners are not ready to spend more money. Let no one convinced you . The Portuguese young star is a promising world class. Now wolves are in the race to sign him .Jao pedro had only score one goal at 4 games at the championship while Ramos had neeted 4 goals.
Please please Howe and team make wise decision to sign Ramos. The team had started nicely we have 36 more games.
