Newcastle set to sign World Cup hopeful as deal worth £25,000-per-week is agreed – BeIN Sports

Newcastle United are closing in on the signing of highly-rated Australian Garang Kuol, according to reports in Australia.

As revealed by BeIN SPORTS this morning, the 17-year-old star looks set to seal a ‘monster move’ to St James’ Park after terms of a four-year deal – worth £25,000-per-week – were agreed between the club and player.

The report states that the in-form striker will spend the remainder of the year at Aussie side Central Coast Mariners, officially sign for the club in January and then be loaned out to a team on the continent in the new year to continue his development.

Kuol has four goals and one assist in nine senior appearances in the A-League this season and has recently received his first call-up to the Australian national side, giving him a real chance of making their World Cup squad next month.

The Sydney Morning Herland revealed last week that Chelsea and Barcelona had also been showing serious interest in the teenage talent, but it seems we’ve stolen a march on both and will see him arrive on Tyneside in January.
